Events, speaking and team training.
Debra Smith teaches in person, online every week, and inside organizations that want their people ready to compete for government work.
The Bid Room, every Wednesday.
The standing event. Two hours live online at 6 pm Eastern, working real solicitations together.
New members get seven days free, then the room is $69 a month. Each month runs in four weeks: open contracts, calling subcontractors, collaborating on stuck contracts, and reporting back.
Keynotes and cohorts.
For programs, accelerators and professional groups that want their members ready for government work.
Debra teaches live cohorts and delivers keynote sessions on contract readiness, bidding strategy and the procurement mindset. Sessions are built around the audience: owners who have never bid, firms already registered, or established companies moving into state and local work.
- Contract readiness. What an agency expects to see before it awards work.
- Bidding strategy. Choosing the right contract, pricing it and submitting on time.
- Prime or subcontractor. The two ways into a contract, and which one fits.
- Cold-calling for outreach. Confident calls that turn into opportunities.
Team training for a contract-ready staff.
For companies that want their own people trained to pursue and secure government opportunities.
The first step is a team training consultation. Debra meets with leadership to understand the team’s experience level, goals and contract targets, then outlines a training plan to build readiness, compliance understanding and bid confidence. Training runs as workshops, cohorts or private organizational sessions, in person or virtual.
